I'm having my 3.73's installed tomorrow and want to go to the track on friday night. If I put the gears through a couple of heat cycles on Wed/Thurs will I be okay to wind'em-up friday night?

when i got my gears in (same as yours), the guy told me to giveit a day or two before going crazy, so i think you will be fine. you are going to love them. i know i did. it is like night and day.

i got on mine after a few miles of picking it up. the mechanic did put it through two heat cycles while he had it... only trouble i ever had was when one of the bolts that hold the carrier in somehow came loose and shot through the rear cover. i limped it the 1/2 mile home and towed it and somehow i lucked out and it didnt chew the side or ring gears up. prob cause it shot out the cover instead of staying in the pumpkin....

Thanks guys. Yeah I'll probably just do some cruisin around town until friday...hopefully the install goes good and they don't screw-up something. I can't stand it when other ppl work on my car (I feel like I'm giving away my first born - if I had kids that is) but I don't have the tools or time to do this one by friday.
