Default Stock 86 5.0L.. What cam should I run?

Hey gues, I have a stock 86 5.0 w. E7 heads. I've been wanting to do a cam swap for awhile, my question is, what cam should I run? What cam can I have without knocking my valves into my pistons?
I was thinking of either an FRPP E303 (220duration- 498lift - 110* lobe seperation) or the TFS Stage 1 (221int/225ex duration - 499int/510ex lift - 112* lobe seperation). Can I run either of those cams with the E7 heads?

Thanks guys.

I don't think you'll be able to run any cam larger than stock. Sometimes E7s don't clear 86 pistons with the stock cam.

And, to be honest, you won't gain much power from a cam swap at this point anyway. All you'll get is a rougher idle, worse low speed driveability, worse gas mileage, and hotter running temps.

I agree with 86 Cobra..A larger cam is not going to work unless you fly cut the pistons..

I put KB Hyperutectic Pistons in mine...and I run a .574 lift cam in my pony...

Cheers

you can run the crower 511 its the best SD cam out there i would of had one but nobody had one on stock. but you will need to have you piston flycut. im running the NX264-14 cam witch has a .512 lift and 1.7 RR.

Don't changethe cam on a speed density '86 GT until you convert it to mass air. Once you convert it to mass air, listen to the guys above
