Exclamation 94 V8 GT convertible top just stopped working! Wont go up!

Hi, i just acquired a 94 GT 5.0 V8, Been cruising around town and putting the top up and down for a few days and today the top wont go back up. I had put it down about two hours earlier and it was fine (no weird sounds or straining sounds) and then about two hours later tried to put it back up and it wont budge. I have it in park W/ P brake on. When I push the switch you cant even hear the motor try to lift it. I checked one of the fuses under the driver side that had convertible top listed on it and its good. I dont know about the engine compartment one. I also had someone push the switch while i used one of those screwdrivers that light up when power is going to something and i checked the red & yellow wires on the right hand side of the motor in the trunk. Its got power on both wires. Does this mean my hood one is not bad? or are my relays on the left side of the motor bad. Any help is appreciated. I gotta figure this out before the rain!

Its a bad motor if you have voltage at the motor when the switch is activated. Try tapping on it or jiggling the wires.

When the green light drops...
The Bullsh!t stops. :shiny:

Your motor brushes have worn out. like speed junky said you can tap it with a wrench and try it and it should come back to life but that will only work maybe 2 or 3 times... if you can get yourself and a buddy to pull up on the top carefully it will come back up slowly-but-surely, so you can park it and sleep.

Just an old ford...
