Hard to shift from 1st to 2nd above 4,000 rpm ? Bad tranny ? Any time I shift from first to second at anywhere above 4000 RPM's my second gear grinds and it's really hard to get it in gear.
Any suggestions:

how many miles are on your
tranny ? sounds like your second gear is on its last leg.

tranny .
Guess its time for a rebuild.

the stock t-5's dont really like high rpm shifts, they were not built to handle it, if u rebuild it with a quality kit you should be able to shift up to 5k rpm with no problem at all but i wouldnt recommend it.
