Default What's the biggest bore and stroke you can go with on a 302?

whats the max a 5.0 302 can be bored out and strked out 2..... and help ideas or hints please post.

i believe it is 347 ci. It makes great power but in my own opinion i wouldnt go any bigger than 331. But like i said that is only my opinion. If your going to stroke out a 5.0 motor to 347 you should concider just selling it and buying a 351 and stroke that to 408 lol talking about some power. but yea i belive it is 347.

you have a couple choices for 302 strokers . 317 , 331 , and 347 . Or you can use a dart 302 block . I think they can handle a few more inches .

Stock 302 blocks can go to about 360 CI. But that's an extreme bore (4.060") and an extreme stroke (3.500").

Thumbs up I think i have an answer for your bore and stroke questiion.

The factory bore for the 302 is 4.000" and the stroke is 3.000". Depnding on what you want to use the car for, makes the descision for wut you want done. A 347 stroke kit bores the engine .030" over and bumps the stroke to 3.400" which puts you in the point of needing bigger cc heads and a bunch of performance that you would of corse need to to shell out more cash for. 331 is a little bit milder with the same bore and bit less stroke. But to answer your question the biggest bore is 4.060" recomending sleeves and the stroke at 3.500" but thats using the 351w crankshaft. Hope that helped you out.
