Default problem with timing chain cover,

i have my waterpump off, and all the bolts i can see from the top of the timing chain cover are out, i just am not sure why it won't budge, what other bolts do i need to take out? i noticed a few but i wasen't sure if they were going to my timing chain cover or to something else, i didn't want to take them out, like looking @ the front of the enginer, there is one coming in on the right side (drivers) horizontally, like towards the chain it's self from the fenderwell area, and a few more going strait down, do i have to take all of these out too? i wasen't sure i didn't want to drop my oil pan @ the same time

There are 2 bolts under the timing cover that attach the cover and the oil pan. There are also 2 pins on each side at the bottom going into the block. You should have had 2 bolts going into those.

If you are sure you got all the bolts out and nothing else is in the way, you may wanna try gently prying to see if it will budge at all. Be careful though, the timing cover is not very strong.

i found thoes 2 little bolts holding the oil pan on, so there are 4 bolts vertically @ the bottom of the chain cover, i missed the 2 smaller ones on the corners, and it took a little bit of prying, but i got it all off, now i have another gasget to buy, arg! thanks for the help guys

only question i have is i have that timing chain from edlebrock with the 3 key ways for the crank, should i advance my valves or retard or go strait, keep in mind the only thing not factory is the head gasget, the rockers, and my valve cover gasget and intake gasgets, other than that everything is factory, and i am about to buy a replacement set of plugs wires cap and rotor, they are all motorcraft the plugs are somewhere around .075 "
