I have a 1988 Mustang LX with a T5 transmission. About 3 months ago I replaced the clutch, throw out bearing, pilot bearing and machined the flywheel. I replaced the King Cobra clutch with a new King Cobra clutch but for about a week now the car vibrates under moderate load or cruising on the high way in 5th gear. The tranmission seems to fine besides the vibration, has anybody had this problem and know what it could be?
Did you install the driveshaft yoke with the same orientation as it had before?

Well I just got back from the trans shop, The owner told me the vibration is most likely the drive shaft is out of balance and he thinks the flywheel is fine. I also have a problem with a clunking sound in 5th gear when getting on or off the throttle. The trans mount was checked as well as the u joints. I was told it might be too much slack in the rear end. Does this sound rite to anybody?
speaking of pilot bearings throw out bearings and clutches, my dad asked me to ask this for him, about a week or 2 ago he changed his concentric slave sylinder his clutch and bearings (pilot and throw out) and about a month earlier he changed the clutch master, one tyhing my dad noticed andi noticed this too, is when u engage the clutch right as it gets to the grabbing point u feel a thunk quite hard, feels like a kick in the seat, but then u can bring it up a lil more than that without the truck moving (f-150 with a 5L 5 speed) and i have noticed it is hard to get the truck into gear it grinds into second most of the time, when u let your foot up on the pedal the center play of the pedal is like an excentric, bottom is soft, top is soft middle is hard, aswell as taking the truck our of gear is hard to do it feels like the clutch just isn't in fully, the clutch is up on full and there is no airbubbles whatsoever, we know that it has been blead throughly and there is also a grinding/rattling noises in the transmission, it is using dextron i know that, i had it filled @ my work, and the transmission just doesen't feel like it's meshing right any ideas? my dad figures it was the pilot bearing not put in right, can ths cause any damage?

I had the same problem with vibrations when driving. We just happend to put the car on a lift to change my o2 sensors a couple of days later and found that the driveshaft was loose. the vibration caused my transmisson to go bad and had to get a new one. Any vibration in the trany is not good you need to get the driveshaft balanced and quick
