Default Which Spark plugs , wires and rotor should I get?

i have an 89 lx 5. with 221 000 km on it, 156 000 miles, and everything was stock when i got it accept the fluids, (plugs stock) so i think it's time to upgrade a little, what's a good set of plugs cap rotor and wires? i have heard good things about accel for cap and rotor, msd for wires, their super conductor and also good things about ngk's in mustangs, (in a 73 302 4bbl) i have also heard some bad things about other plugs, first thing was do not go champion in fords, my father told me this one, and i trust him, so i don't want to go with them, and the other thing was no platnuims, they tend not to fire properly, oh i was going to get the bosch +4's but they are like 26.99 for a set of 2 up here so that would be like 107.96 b4 taxes which is, where i live 123$ roughly after taxes i don't want to spend a million dollars but i want something that will be very decent what are your recomendations, i tried going into part stores and into a place called canadian tire, big store up here in canada, but they were all pushing brands they got bonuses for in the parts stores and neihof for everything in canadian tire, and that is just because they are told to push the sale items, also i heard about these new e4 plugs or something like this, they suposedly don't have a gap or something, i didn't really understand it, have any of you heard about this?

from my experience and everyone else i know, 5ohs tend to like autolite or ford motorsport plugs. theyre cheap too! as far as plug wires go, id just go with some ford racing 9mms, and a new cap and rotor from ford racing also. all this is fairly cheap, and will go good with an aftermarket coil. as a matter of fact, i think ive seen a complete tune up kit, which came with new plugs, wires, cap and rotor all for fairly cheap, like under a hundred bucks... ill look around and get back to ya...

I use Accell Cap + Rotor and FMS 9mm wires. They have worked out for me so far.

I just installed MSD 8.5mm Superconducter Wires, MSD Cap and Rotor, MSD TFI Blaster Coil, and some new autolite spark plugs. They worked out great for me with no problems.

I'm running Ford plugs, cap & rotor. MSD blaster coil and Taylor 8mm wires. You can find Ford Racing parts at all SVT Ford dealerships in Canada.

AHHHH TOO MUCH INPUT!!!! now i am confused, any one tried these all and found better results with one than another? i want to get the best set first and i know nothing about what works best on cars, in my mind a v8 is a v8 a v6 is a v6, i am a mchanical knowledge guy, i understand how all of the mechanics in an engine work i understand how to make things work better as for the mechanical stand point, i ubnderstand the basics of electronics, bigger gap weaker spark stronger coil stronger spark, but u know... i have the stock coil on there and will for probibly another cupple months atleast, i just don't have the money right now for that

ok screw the ford racing stuff, it's too expensive for the time i have to wait, the wires themselfs will be like 77$ tax and the cap and rotor will be 45$ plus tax and then i still have to get the plugs, and this would take 3 weeks to order in... so i am just gonna call my local auto parts store and see what i can get for a price for other stuff...

ford racing/motorsports.......
plugs, stock, crappy,
wires, 9mm 77$
cap+rotor 45$
delivery... 3 weeks

store 2....
bosh 8mm wires, 38.29$
neihoff cap, 23.79$
rotor(neihoff) 5.45$
plugs, ngk or autolite(same price) 2.25$ each

store 3...
wires msd 86$
msd cap, 15$
msd rotor 5$
accell plugs 2.98$ each

so what i think i am going to do is say screw it to ford, get the bosch 8 mm wires for 38.29$ and the autolite plugs for 2.25 each...go to store 3, get the msd cap and rotor and use them, 20$ plus tax... so here all of this after taxes will be.... 86.97$ canadian, sound like a good deal to you people? or should i go with the accell plugs? accell is a name i know but never heard of for plugs

The stock distributor cab termanals are aluminum. Get the one's that are made from brass. Better conductor.Accel is one...look around for other makes.
