Are electric power steering & water pumps worth the power / $$ ?

Has anyone tryed out the electric water or power steering pumps in there 86-93 stangs yet. I wanna buy them but only if they are worth it. I've heard they free up anywhere from 10-20 horse depending on your mods.??

I've heard only about electric water pumps. They have also freed up a lot of HP but i've also read they dont last very long when used on a street driven car. About 1-2 years tops. It could be different now. They also aren't cheap.

and i would not be surprised if the were very expensive. it just seems like something that would cost a lot.

Meziere makes a beautiful electric water pump, anodized or polishde billet aluminum. Gorgeous piece. Comes with a hefty price tag though. Looks are intense! They last a long time now too. I just helped a buddy put one on his 87 vert. Looks awesome and does the job. He haas to run a higher amp alternator now, but he also has mega watt stereo components, too...
