Looking to swap a 4.6L cobra engine into an 88' 5.0
i wanted to try to put togeather an aluminum engine..would a 4.6 cobra engine fit well in a 87 88 gt 5.0?would the parts work well togeather..the block is on ebay,it says FORD COBRA 4.6L 6 BOLT MAIN ENGINE BLOCK........http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
i know it will fit in there. whether its an easy fit, that i don't know. but i know i've seen it. you may want to look at http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...23&prmenbr=361 they sell the cobra motor , transmission, and computer for $6000 . it is a leftover from the "2000" mustang cobra that never existed. im sure this is a lot cheaper alternative.
