Default flutter problem

hey,

I have a 95 5.0 and im trying to figure out my problem. First off, when the car is cold it has really bad hesitation and bogging almost like a carburated car on a cold day. Last week it started like a flutter at mostly higher rpms. If you watch the tach as your driving at a cruising speed like at 2500 you can see the tach moving up and down between 2000 and 2500. You can feel that it wants to get up and go but somethings holding it back and will just flutter when you floor it. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

thanks,
Matt

First, when was the last tune up?
What spark plug gap are you running and how old is your fuel filter? Automatic or manual transmission ? How many miles ?

Yeah, I have a 93 5.0 and mine does that too, mostly when it's just cold though....after i've driven for about 5 minutes, it's ok, but if i get in it and go, i'll hit the gas and it'll flutter just like you are saying.....i keep mine tuned up on a regular basis and my spark plugs are fairly new with i think .054 gap. Although i do have about 145K on it.
