Unhappy DURASPARK WIRING QUESTION????

Please help guys. I have attached the diagram to this post for the duraspark, my question has to do with the red and white wires from the module. I have figured that the red is hot when in the run position (99.9% sure), my question is, is the white wire run hot with the key in the run position or is it run hot only when in the start position?? Please help I really don't want to fry a new module if at all possible. Thanks for the help. Oh the reason I need to know as have had to switch to carb as the stock CFI was going to need a custom chip to flow enough gas for the 351w I jammed in the car, had to try to make it work but couldn't. Thanks Brian

Thanks Justin, just wanted to make sure on the start or run for the white wire. Will hook it up and give it a go.

Brian looks like the white is hot when the ign is on. Nice diagram, I was about to look for one of those... thanks.

Hooked up White in start postion and the Red in run position and she fired up, so I guess she is wired right. Thanks for all the help guys.

You guys are correct, white start, red run.....but,I saw my cousins wiring on his 69 bronco offroader for the first time. There is no body just rollbars and tin,all home made, anyway he just wired the red and white together and then ran it to the ign! I said it was wrong, but he said it's been that way since 1988 when he built it! And yes he's running the same box! It has a 85 302 now, same box.

I was going to try the wiring like your buddy did, but was afraid of frying the new ignition module, I had a hunch that it might work that way but was better to be safe than sorry! Where you from in Nova Scotia? Drop me a PM and let me know.
