Windows continues to come off its track in an 88' Tbird
ok, well im sure you've all heard of it before. well, my girlfriend has a nice 5.0 1988 t-bird. guess what...her window fell off the track about 3 months ago. i fixed it by putting it back in the track and securing it with silicone sealant. well, it fell off again about two weeks ago and i repaired it the same way. so it just did it yesterday! so here's my question. does anyone actually KNOW what causes the window to come off the track? i tried lubing all the moving pieces. is something bent? oh, buy the way they are power windows. thanks guys!

When I installed a new window on my car there were two nuts that held the bar that everything slides on. One at the very bottom of the door and the other about 4 inches down from the middle of the top of the door panel. I moved the window slightly with those and adjusted them at the setting where it moved the easiest. I am not sure if the tbird has those but i would check by removing the door panel.
I would also compare it to the passenger side to make sure nothing broke off.
good tip dog. ill check for those bolts asap. i've had tham damn door panel off about 5 times now.

88sc? dont you mean turbocoupe?
to take off the door panel remove the two screw under the door handle, the 2 in the door pull the screw in the lower front corner by the speaker and theres a screw up by the mirror. then the rest is all push pins down the sides and bottom. carefully pry it off and then lift the panel up and off....good luck!
