Just replaced the roller lifters and the motor continues to slightly knock and ping
I recently just installed some new roller lifters, it is still knocking but with a slight ping to it.
I asked one of my buddies and he said I need to re-adjust the rocker arms.
Just want some opinions on my situation...

is it a tapping noise like the rockers tapping, or is it a loud knocking sound. cuz a light tapping would probably be related to the valvetrain, and knocking would more of a internal motor sound. and why did you change the rollers anyways? was there a problem with the old ones or did you just want to change them?
tapping is usually related to the valvetrain, upper half of the engine while a knocking noise would normally come from the bottom end.either the terminology is wrong or the diagnosis is wrong or both.
if you dont have adjustable rocker arms then there is no point in adjusting the rocker arms, just make sure you use new pushrods and use stock length pushrods. and make sure you used the right lifters.
