Default Is it ok to use my supercharger until I get my chip re-burned?

I'm installing my blower on Monday and was curious if anyone has ever run one without a chip. Is there any danger in checkin out the horsepower for a couple of weeks til I get the chip re-burned? someone told me to go light on the throttle until I re-install the chip, but the same guy told me that people who have bought superchargers from him are running in the 10's without a chip.

Your major concern will be your air/fuel..if you run lean under partial to full throttle....boom. Head Gaskets love people running untuned. Be patient and do it right. IMO A few questions..are you upgrading your injectors? Running a FMU? What size blower and pulley? 10's and no tune sounds crazy to me..my friend runs in the high 9's with his vortech Mustang, and he is always tunning on the dyno. Good luck, keep us posted.

I'm not running in the ten's, that was someone else. I have the 24lb injectors but the dude sent me the right ratio for the fmu.

A good friend of mine is running a vortech supercharged car without a tune and is running 11.40's. He isn't running and fmu. He has 30lb injectors and cranked up the fuel press.

cool, thanks. I'm thinking of just changing the injectors and bypassing the fmu. some buddies of mine on turborides.com are giving me some good advice as well.

yes ditch the FMU and go with biger injectors. 42lb injectors should be good. also the guys tuning the car will probably have a hell of a time tuning it with the FMU present.
