Default Junkyard Electric Fan Install

I just visited the local PickNPull today and bought 2 electric fans, one out of a 3.8 Taurus and one out of a SHO Taurus (those intake manifolds are nice), I used the SHO fan because the shroud fit better over the radiator, it only has two wires coming of the fan and the standard Taurus has 3 wires (High & Low Speed), testing both fans I noticed the regular Taurus fan seemed to move a lot more air, I'm wondering if the SHO fan was computer controlled for speed, it still move a lot of air, my other option I'm thinking of is to switch the fan motors it looks like they fit but I already mounted the SHO fan to the radiator, regardless of what I do it's a hell of a lot cleaner looking the Black Magic I had in my old 93 Cobra, once I get the car wrapped up I'll see how it works, and one more thing, I was putting on my new belt W/O AC and the **** doesn't fit, I used the Ford Racing Kit (The March Kit Sucks, had it on my Cobra), maybe I need a 1/2" bigger, had the same problem when I put pulleys on my Cobra, I'm just learning from experience, it's the best way, anyways just thought I'd share, I can give anyone details on how to do the swap and Part Numbers if interested because the stock fan clutch is hideous.

i don't believe they are computer controlled, just set off of the pressure switch off of the a/c compressor...........just wire it in like you would have your black magic fan..............on/off and if you have a/c, then set it up off of the switch...........hotwheels

I don't have AC on the car, and I wonder why the fan only has 2 leads, maybe it only has one speed?

Those taurus fans are great junkyard gems. Make sure that alternator is upgraded and it's ready to go. That fan clutch can rob a lot of horsepower.

I had the same same dilemma. I found a SHO at the junkyard and found out that the SHO fan had one less fan blade and the blades weren't angled as aggressively as the normal Taurus fan, so I didn't get it.
