There is no way you'll be accurately reading anything that high. Remember, the original gauge was only fairly accurate at reading speeds under 120 mph, and you wanna put another 50 mph in the same gauge space? Accuracy is out the window....even if you could go near that fast. To maintain accuracy at any speed, this gauge would have to have a diameter 150% larger than your stocker gauge.
I replaced an 85 mph gauge with a 140 mph gauge on my Fiat Spider last fall. I did so because I was routinely cruising above 85 mph. Also the stock gauge quit working, and a new old stock 140 mph gauge was cheaper than rebuilding my original. I now find that low speed (city driving) accuracy is less than +/- 5 mph....intolerably inaccurate. And, the speedo jumps like a kid on a motel mattress at speeds less than third gear.
Look into rebuilding the stocker gauge if it is defective. There are numerous shops throughout the country that specialize in this, anologe or digital...
