My 88 mustang gt convertable's power windows are acting kinda crazy. passenger side front will only work from drivers side switch and my rear windows work only from the back 2 switches, not the drivers side front. could both of my front switches be bad? Would pinched wires cause this? Thanks
i just pulled switch panel, used a 12 source and all buttons are working. No corrosion but maybe bad connection between pins and switch mount? Anyone experienced trouble with connections getting loose?
I have a ground problem. crazy grounding system ford uses plus this is a rag top which throws in the rear window switches. The drivers side switch mount has more wires than a school bus!!!
I made a jumper wire and grounded one end and with the button held down i went thu the ground wires untill the window moved. It only moved once but it told me that it wasnt in the rear switch. If I were going to keep car i would just run another ground, but i think i may sell it and if 2 people (kids) tried to work the same window in seperate directions...i guess it would just kik the breaker or worse.....fry some wires. ya think?
