Default 1.6 or 1.7

I want to upgrade my rocker arms, should I go with 1.6 or 1.7 I have the stock 86 heads. If I go with 1.7 will I need taller valve covers and longer push rods? or should I just stay with 1.6 for less install problems.

if you plan on leaving the stock cam in there you can go with the 1.7 and get an extra 10hp but you will probably need to change valve covers to get the clearance.no need to change the push rods.

i would go 1.7's they work better bigger valve opening, i am not 100% sure on different years but i know on the 89 valve covers they don't fit, the drivers side one is fine, but the passenger side one, u need to take the baffle out from under the oil filler tube, that is the only difficulty on mine
