Angry

Is this what they mean when they say FORD had a better idea? You really have to remove all that stuff just to get to these 2 plugs?

i think taking off the egr piping would be your best bet, but it's not an easy job no matter what u do, other idea, call a dealership, call the service department, i have had exceptionally good service with a few dealerships here, i called one about how to install my tach, the guy was like i have no idea whit wire is the signal wire, if you want to hold i will find out though he put the phone down on the counter and i could hear him going through books looking for the right schematic and about 5 minutes later he came back and told me the wire colour and exactly where in the engine compartment i could find it, which location on the harness to the distributer it was and which side (inner/outer) on the coil

What I do is put the socket on the spark plug and use the 3/4" wrench closed end to turn it. I do not ever use the ratchet anymore. You get a better feel for how tight it is also.

Yeah, just remove some smog piping, its only held on with hose clamps, takes seconds to remove and replace.
