On my 86 I've noticed a little smoke coming up from the center console and when i pulled over I noticed a lil transmission fluid on the underside of the car couldn't really check cause I was on the side of the highway so when I got home I noticed it looked like transmission fluid was coming out of the refill stem . Has anyone had this problem and have any idea what is causing it.

What is a refill stem?

Is this a T-5 5-speed and you are looking at the vent tube up on top?

Now it's an AOD and the transmission fliud was coming out of the part where the fluid dip stick is at.

I only work with the manual transmissions, so I can't advise you on this one!

Someone here will have seen this, but it doesn't sound good for fluid to be coming up the dipstick tube!
