i read that the studs should be installed hand tight, but i tightened them more then that. Am i going to be in trouble? should i do them over?

I wouldn't worry at all, just make sure you use a high temp thread sealant on the studs that go into the water jackets. They want them a little tight so that the stress is put on the studs and not the threads of the engine block.
