MY CAR RUNS 12.75@108 AND HE RUNS 12.50@107 MY HOME PAGE NO BLOWERS, NOS.
You may want to consider running an electric fan instead of a clutch fan. That could bring you closer to your friends speed because of no belt drag in the high rpms . You would more than likely need to upgrade your alternator though.
nice car man. I looked at a cobra II a few years ago but i didn't have my license yet or enough money. It was pretty cool looking and it had a big blower sticking through the hood.

If you're bogging off the line you need to launch harder (if possible) or bring the air pressure up in the tires. It's always better to spin just a little than to bog. Bogging slows you down as much or more than spinning and bogging breaks parts.

Thanks for the info i will give the air pressure a try,
My best friend was having the same problem with his camaro....We found it to be what is called fuel slosh....When he dumps the clutch...the car stands up and dumps too much fuel into the carburateur and bogs for a half second......I think he used some kind of jumper hose to stop it....He runs about 12.70s..But...Its a damn chevy....so i refused to help him...lol

The hose goes from the front bowl vent to the rear bowl vent - be sure to leave a hole in the line ("T" fitting) at the top of the arch in the hose or you won't have vented bowls anymore.
