Question indiana tailpipe specs.

I need to know if anyone knows the length specs. for tailpipes in Indiana on a 1988 Mustang. I have looked on several websites and have not been able to find out any information. If you have any information or know how I could find out please let me know. Thx.

What I've been told by officers over the years, is that the exhaust must not terminate under the passenger compartment of the vehicle. So as long as it exits the back or side of the vehicle you should be okay, with turndowns (dumps) under the passenger compartment not being okay.

In texas which is pretty lax on everything , they would not pass me without getting tailpipes past the gas tank. That's the factory method , are you looking for the least amount of exhaust possible (ex: no cats or tail pipes) ?
