Question Help with fuel line problem!?!?

I am doing a conversion and I am trying to use braided line to connect from the stock 5.0 fuel rail (well rather the hard line that starts to run down the side of the engine with the shrader valve on it) to the 4cyl hard lines both to the fuel rail and the return line.
2 reasons for wanting to do this
1. 4cyl fuel lines come up the opposite side
2. I am missing the flexible line that goes from the hard line on the side of the engine to the hard line that runs under the car.
I could bend the 4cyl hard lines, but then I'd still need the part that I a missing. Figured I'd just cut out a step.
Now I am confused on waht I need to get to accomplish this
I have searched here, stangnet, and corral and google and can't find anythign that gives me a straight answer for my application
thanks

I think you want these.

they attach to the lines from your tank on one side of the fitting and the other will hook up to the stock fuel rails. I think this is what you want or im way off.

that looks like something I could use. Attach those to the fuel rail, get a length of braided fuel line with AN-6 fittings and then get another 1 for the incoming line for a total of 3 of those fittings. Then the return line just had one of the U shaped clips. What can I do for that end?
Maybe flare that end and put a AN-6 female fitting on it? or is there something easier?

it looks that that fitting from russel needs to have the female end to hook to my stock fuel lines on the engine side
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

should I take off the ford OEM end and flare a AN-6 fitting and then run some braided line?
would that be easier?
and does autozone or advance auto sell this stuff? If not I better hurry and figure out what I want so that I can get it in by this weekend

If you go to Summit racing they have all kinds of cool fittings for that kinda stuff, im sure you could find something that would work for you and if you need it quick they have next day shipping. I went to the summit site and went to plumbing and looked under Russel and they had all kinds of different things you just halft to look threw all the stuff.

ojibway,
I see where I can hook that fitting you showed me. I can hook it up directly to the fuel rail, now I will only be missing the nipple to check fuel pressure...if I want to check my fuel pressure what do I have to do to get that in there with bradied line?

are you using the stock fuel rails because that schrader valve to check the fuel pressure should be mounted close to the fuel pressure regulator. If it is not I think you can get after market regulators that have that scharde valve on them I think.
What happened to the schrader valve?

i have the shcrader valve, but I am going to have to remove that part of of the line to hook up that russel part number you gave me...i am going to call summit in a bit and see if they have the female version for the ford EFI spring lock mechanism, if not i am going to have to remove that part.
At the other end my incoming fuel line is 3/8 and the connection on my 4cyl used the little while plastic piece, but on my 87 5.0 it looked like it was factory melted onto the end....the diameters of both the incoming 3/8 and return 5/16 are the same on both cars...
should i reflare then ends and stick -6AN connectors on there?

Is it possible to take those fittings I showed you and hook them to the fuel lines that are comming from the fuel tank and than hook them to the female attachements that are on the fuel rail. I might need to see some pics of this so I can see where your going with this. would this help.

You know that might just work.
I called the summit guys and figures out what I needed for the end going under the car. The return line they have a piece comparable to the oem ford part and the incoming line will need to be flared.
Yeah those will work. I went ahead and got those other pieces for now. I am in a crunch to get it done. But I'll get those off bay and hook up my AN lines to them. That will be perfect. thanks again
You've been a great help!!!
