Default best suspension set up 79 foxbody????

What do you guys this is the best suspension set up for a daily driver/ weekend toy. The car will have around 300/325hp. I need some suggestions on what you guys think is the best bang for the buck not looking to spend alot. Whats your guys opinions on shocks, struts, and springs.

I would do oem replacement springs and cut a coil off. And then some adjustable shocks and struts.

Make sure to get some quality rear control arms and good subframe connectors. I would consider welding/reenforcing the torque boxes too

Are the brakes/steering/suspension stock right now?
Are you planning on keeping it 4 lug, or going 5 lug?

If it were me, I'd just find a donor 91-93ish Mustang GT and swipe the steering rack, spindles, front brakes, sway bar, etc... out of it, and bolt it right into the 79. If you have stock suspension/brakes/steering, it will feel like a new car with the later years Fox parts. As far as struts and springs, that is totally dependent on your plans as far as lowering the car or not, and how deep your wallet is. You want to do the struts and springs at the same time, but you might not want to use either yours or the ones from a donor. ???

Edit:
I know you were talking about struts and springs for the most part, but I was pointing out the fact that if you still have the 79 steering/suspension/brakes under your car, you have some really weak/out of date tech going on there.

We put all these things from a donor 93 GT into my son's 81 Fairmont, and it was an incredible difference in handling. Your 79 should have the same parts as the 81 Fairmont had stock, even the 9" front discs...

Yep...

I need to do that to my 87 GT.
My passenger side torque box looks like the PO had run over a stump or something.

forgot to mention that all the suspension, steering, brakes, rear end are out of an 88 gt. And those are all stock. I plan on keeping it 4 lug. I would like to lower the car 1 to 1.5 inches just enough to give it a nice stance and ride a little nicer than it does now cause there is no way it can get any worse. I was looking at the eibach pro kit system. Does anyone have any experience with that particular set up?????
