Default Which headers and why?

So I gots a few questions about headers. First of all what is the difference between regular and equal length headers? Also do equal length headers bolt right up to my stock exhaust? If not what kind of headers do bolt up to my stock exhaust. If you know any good reliable sites that sell headers that bolt up to stock exhaust please let me know. Thanks alot.

The extra couple hp you get out of equal lenght headers isn't worth the hassel IMO. They can make getting to your spark plugs real tight. If your running a heavily mod'ed N/A motor, they start being worth while, but on a mainly stock motor they are just not really worth the added trouble. Either equal or unequal lenght shorty headers will bolt right in place of your stock headers. As far as brands go, BBK makes good quality affordable headers.

basically what saleen owner said... is exactly what i would tell ya...

equals are a pain to put in because theyre a lot wider and not worth the hassle unless your running a lot of horsepower...

if you have a manual i would get long tube headers great performance gains but you would need to change your mid pipe too..

and BBK is a great brand that is what i run and they are top quality pieces. be sure to get ceramic coated whatever your get.....

Yeah, the equal lengths will lean against the passenger side "frame" rail
if your motor mounts sag. My headers are done - the collectors have
cracked off of the pipes. They've been on the car since it was pretty much
new. I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna get unequals to replace 'em.

Longtubes are the best way to extract the most power out of your engine. I hate shorties. One of these days im replacing mine with longtubes. There's actually more room, and easier to work on the car, with longtubes.
