I took the time this weekend to polish my upper intake, what a pain !!!

I knew it was hard, but worse if you attempt to do it in a single day.
Took me 10.5 hours, with a brief 30 min lunch break.

Used an orbital sander starting with 120 GRIT sandpaper and dremel rolls.
Then i moved to 240 grit, 400, 1000 and ended with metal/chrome polish and wax.

Still left to do is the TB, and SN95 Elbow. But i'll wait until the pain in my spine stops

yea ia ttempted to polish my GT40 intake also ----said screw it after about 2 hours into ----I decided to paint it ---looks really good!

Its really not easy at all, doing it by hand is IMPOSSIBLE, you need the right tools and lots of TIME.
Takes a third of the time to swap heads !!!! hehehe

Nice job! What me to mail you my RPM Air-Gap intake for some more practice before you start on those other parts?

LOL...i pass !!!!

Definately this something i will NEVER do again (same i said after i married).
To be honest, i was in a RUSH, its my daily driver and had to finish the same day i started.
If i had a 2nd car it would probably take me one month
