Default which muffler?

ok so in my other exhaust post, i decided to go with turndowns after my mufflers. ill be getting either an offroad h or x pipe soon, and want to replace my mufflers too. i dont want the flowmaster sound, and bullets will be too loud, itd basically be straight pipes coming out in front of the wheel. so i want a muffler that still produces power w/o deafening me, and w/o the flowmaster sound. what options do i have?

I have dynomax's, they sounded good. Until I got 2 exhaust leaks near the headers, now my car just sounds like crap hehe. But like he said, Magnaflow sounds great also. And about your turndowns, I need to get around to removing my tailpipes also.. I likes me a loud moostang

What is wrong with flowmasters? The sound great. I have a 95 Gt with two one chamber flows no tailpipes just turndown right after the muffler. It is so loud, i pass the cops drop a gear and redline and they cant do anything b/c i am not breaking the law, it is so much fun. Well i think magnaflows are too quiet. they arent loud enough for me. I can proudly say my car is the loudest car in town, except for those ppl with glass packed, i hate those things they sound like crap.

mgs, do you have an offroad h/x pipe as well? i think flowmasters sound good, but too many people in my town have them so i want something different. if single chambered isnt too loud, i think ill go with those. since theyre only single chambered, how different are the sounds? how about the edelbrock rpm mufflers? almost straight through, so theyr not gonna be that loud

my mustang sounds like it has straight pipes just extremely loud and deeper. it has a unuique sound, no other mustang like it in town. and when you really hit it it roars. idk about edelbrock, never messed with those mufflers.

cabin volume is very high. and i have a bbk off-road x-pipe that i put some high flow cats on, which was a mistake. you can really feel the rumble of the exhaust inside especially at low to mid rpm, high rpm you cant feel it unless you have the widows down.but it is really loud at high rpm.but also remember i dont have any tailpipes thats why its that loud, all i have are turn downs.
