Sorry probably a dumb question but i just want to make sure im not skipping anything. I plan on putting a stock 87 HO cam in a 95 F150 302 block with gt40p heads. do i need to degree the cam when i install it?

Yes, you always need to degree a cam. If its off when you put it in dot to dot it could run like crap or move the curve up or down. Have to make sure the valve events are happening when supposed to. With that being said you need to find the stock cam specs. And the block is roller so everything will switch over fine.

Is the F-150 block a roller block?
Degreeing a cam is a great idea, but I'm not sure where you'd find a spec sheet for a stock camshaft.
I have the 87 ford powertrain service manual will that give me the specs i need to degree the cam then? Also the truck the engine came out of was MAF does that matter if im my car is still running speed density?
sorry i dont remember the spark plug routing. i dont think the exhaust port location matters since im running gt40p heads anyway right? And yes if i have to degree the HO cam im thinking about just buying a new .one,
