Default HO cam in a f150 block question

Sorry probably a dumb question but i just want to make sure im not skipping anything. I plan on putting a stock 87 HO cam in a 95 F150 302 block with gt40p heads. do i need to degree the cam when i install it?

Yes, you always need to degree a cam. If its off when you put it in dot to dot it could run like crap or move the curve up or down. Have to make sure the valve events are happening when supposed to. With that being said you need to find the stock cam specs. And the block is roller so everything will switch over fine.

Is the F-150 block a roller block?

Degreeing a cam is a great idea, but I'm not sure where you'd find a spec sheet for a stock camshaft.

Yes that block is a roller block but I am not 100% sure about the firing order tho?

That F150 should be MAF also......correct?

What do you plan on using from the truck and what do you plan on using from the mustang?

are you using the f150 block in a mustang, or mustang parts for a f150? the f150s that are maf are the autos, some 250s were maf.

also you might run into a problem with headers if not mistake the exhaust ports are different between the f150, and mustang.
