hi... i have an 88 LX with these mods.... CAI, exhaust, headers, heads ported/polished, underdrive pulleys... i was wondering what my timing should be set to with these mods?????

also im going to be getting the 55hp zex nos kit soon, what should i set my timing to after the nos?

Another thing, sometimes when i drive, and i shift at lower than average rpms, i hear like a knocking noise... i think maybe the car is backfiring, could this be because the timing is set incorrectly? thanks for you help.

i did my timing to 14btdc and test drove ,it didnot ping so I left it there. If it pings retard and test drive .
I know you have to retard timing with any nos system. I think is 1 degree for every 10 hp but check on it!!!

thanks i did that... i have an x303 cam.. and the car idles smoother now. i think i feel a bit more power too
