So you just a car.......well what does it have on it like mods? Be very descriptive.

Secondly a tune up, check the timing, check for vacuum leaks and cleaning of the MAF would be a good place to start and run the codes......

MAF and Intake Air Temp(IAT) sensor helped me out a lot. People put K&N filters and ruin them.

I concur with smurf here. A tune up is always something you should do when buying a used car, or better yet, as i see all the time people jumping into things to quickly just because they want a certain car. Actually inspect and test drive the car before you buy it. Some cars are money pits that the previous owner got tired of. But anyways with the correct info we should be able to track your problem down.

It drive fine before I bought it and I tried a tune up already and did check the spark on every wire on top the distributer. Still back fires.

Could it be that youve got your one of your plugs on your firing order backwords. I accidently switched 4 and 8 at one point in time. Cause a bad backfire and car ran like ass.
