Default Oppinions on cobra intake and accufab WHAT SHOULD I DO???

My original plan was to go with Trickflow's street heat kit, (twisted wedge heads, upper lower, cam etc...) I was going to do this work near the end of the summer....

but what is your oppinions on this...

found a cobra upper and lower with a 70mm accufab mounted to it...
all for $400 i offered him $350... I could buy this now... and run this for a while and then piece together a cam and intake package...??

how do you guys feel about the cobra intake?? is it good or is it just ok??

The throttle alone is worth 80 or so depending on condition. I dont have enough experience with Cobra intake to give you an honest answer but I know it will give you better numbers then a stock intake. It sounds like a decent deal. A new trick flow will cost you more then $300 although will be more powerful then the Cobra. (i believe)

That is a VERY good price if they are in good shape. To get the full potential of the TW heads, you'd need to port the Cobra lower if it is stock.

make sure it is NOT one of the new FRPP replicas made by Profesional Products...these say "made in Chna"

If it's the same professional products that makes the EFI typoon intakes, I would sooner buy one used from Ebay. They did this years ago when I went to buy a new GT-40 intake. The originals that were out in the mid 90's were very nice quality. Then some other company took over production and the quality was aweful. Some of the tubes weren't even welded straight.

i put a 1" spacer on my cobra and it rubbed the stock hood, had to cut out the cross brace on the underside of the hood, ultimately got a 2.5" cowl and now fits really nice, i have a 70mm tb on mine also, it is definitely worth the money. i picked up my set up 3 years ago for $300, cobra upper/lower, accufab tb, 30# injectors, pro-m 75mm chrome bullit maf, not bad , huh? there are good deals once in a while
