ok i have stock headers and an off road h pipe and i am going to switch to long tubes and short off road xpipe will i gain any horsepower and am i correct in saying that my car should be louder with the xpipe....also i have flowmaster muffler this combination should be pretty loud right?

from what i've heard h-pipes are louder than x-pipes, they both produce different sounds though, if you have long tubes and an h-pipe with hi flow cats or no cats the car is gonna scream. on a stock motor the long tubes aren't gonna give you any extra horse, may loose a little but the sound is worth it

I have long tubes on my coupe (they came with the car) and I've always had shorties, and I don't notice a huge difference in sound at all. (motor is mostly stock) I wouldn't expect to hear a difference until the engine really has something to breath out.

throw heads, cam, intake on the car and you'll hear the difference
