Default Tail Lights

I just bought an 84 gt, I am starting upgrades as we speak. My question is, I like the carbon fiber tail lights for the 87-93 body styles, just from looking at the cars there pretty much the same. Can those lights work in my car, if so how much modifications will need to be done. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey man, I put those exact tails on my '82. You have to cut the holes bigger to allow the bulbs to fit. the middle bolts cant be used because the new holes make the bolt holes dissapear. I also had to bend the body where the tails mount, do this so it fit flush with body. I found it to be pretty easy, and I used a dull "Sawsall". I think it was worth it! Everyone gives me compliments on how good the look!

'79-'83 taillight panels are different than '83-'93 taillight panels. NO modifications are required to fit '87-'93 taillights on '83-'86 models.
