Default 306 vs 302

how much more power does a 306 make compared to a 302?

you will not notice it, I personally would rather have a stock bore block, the stock block will run cooler

The only real advantage of having a 306 is the slightly larger bore unshrouds the intake valve and helps the cylinder fill better. Other then that not much. But I have never had a 306 run hotter than a 302. .030 is not that much of a difference.

When you go to rebuild a 302, you typically do a .030" overbore to clean up the cylinder walls so you end up with a 306. There's really not much of an advantage to going to a 306, it's just sometimes necessary depending on the condition of your cylinder walls.

A 306 will make 3 or 4 more hp from the extra 4 cubes.

It won't run any hotter. Don't know where that came from??
