Default my 88 gt wont start timing jumped i need help!!!!!!!!

i have an 88 gt i converted to mass air,73mm mass air sensor with fender well cai, 24 lbs. inject..under drives, deleted a/c and no smog with short belt, mac headers, mac x-pipe, mac dumps ,3:73,king cobra clutch and rebuilt t-5, and car ran great but the throttle started to stick i i bought a professional products 65mm throttle bodie, i had a stock throtle body before with a 70mm egr plate and i wanted an evan flow of air for more hosrepower that is y i bought the 65mm tb but the 70mm one was stuck on manifold

soo i found an upper manifold from another 5.0 and didnt no it wasnt going to fit but any ways i had it ported to 65mm to match the new tb and egr plate, i put it on and half assed rigged all lines back to normall and took all vacummm tree an every thing and put it on new intake and when i started it it had big vaccumm leak i think timing chain jumped after i test drove it cuz a lil wase down street it was stoling and my dad said he could feel a bang like the timing chain jumped a tooth and it would only start when u give it gas so me and my dad shut car off took a sledge hammer to old egr plate on old manifold and finaly got it off put new 65mm tb and macthing egr plate on old intake put everything back on and now car wont start and and my dad thought it was timing chain so we lined up harmonic balancer to 0 and the rotor doesnt line up with number one plug on cap its like a almost half inch off now does that meen the chain jumped cuz when u try to start it u can smell gass real strong and

we took spark plugs out and every plug was fouled becuz of vacumm leak and engine cranks jus doesnt start ive looked over everything else ive put new plugs in and i checked every posible thing and i think the chain jumped when the vacum leak made it run to rich or lean and i jus took front cover off and the timing chain had a lot of slack on it and i put comp cams double roller and but how to i line up rotor with number one plug on cap with moving the two balncer timing marks????????????????if any one knows how to do this or knows wut might be rong please right back please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off, you dont set the car to TDC on cylinder 1 by putting the harmonic balancer at 0, and then attempt to put rotor at #1. And because you turned it to 0 doesnt mean the timing chain jumped. I highly doubt it did.

When you put the new timing chain on, you must turn the crankshaft bolt with a breaker bar until the two marks line up.

You need to get a vacuum gauge and verify that you do not have a leak. That should be you first task.

Almost sounds like 89stanger mechanics lol.

ya i did line up the marks the key way on crank pointing up the key on cam pointing down and make sure there alighned and i took number 1 plug out and got it to top dead center and the rotor was pointing in the direction of number one on the cap to ignite the number one cylinder but it is off enough so that the number one cylinder wont fire and that will throow off the hole timing and i smelt a **** load of gass when we tryed cranking it last weekend and im on the right page or am i rong cuz my dad was the one that said the chain jumped he said the chain had alot of slack in it the teeth showed there wear soo soo we bought all the timing chain parts and said wut the hell mitaswell try it nuthin else seemed to work so right now im in the middle of putting the new comp cam double roller on as we speak and i got the rotor to line up and the two key ways to line up now im jus glueing gasket and getting ready for cover to go on is there anything else i should no about this?????do you evan think it would be the timing chain i think i washed down my cylinders soo im thinkin maybe a bad vavle or pushrod or maybe hopefully not a a few rings went???????
