Question mass air meter question

I bought C&L 76 mm mass air kit for my 93 cobra, which has 24lb injectors. When i tried to fit sensor in new one it didnt fit. So i called brothers performance back and he said that it needed the mass air meter that was calibrated for 19lb injectors. How can this be?

Someone is confused here. I think that the C&L MAF's need their own electronics on top. Is that what you are talking about? You may need one calibrated for 19# injectors, because 93 Cobras were calibrated in the computer rather than in the MAF. This is a much more effective way to calibrate the mixture.

The stock sensor should fit the MAF housing.

C&L dont use their own electronics, they use the stock unit.
The calibration of the meter depends on the sampling tube that came with the C&L housing.

If the stock electronics dont fit, it could be a machining problem.

dude; the stock sensor will fit the c&l and the blue tube is what you need for those 24pounders.
