I am having to move m belt tensioner up so that the belt will not touch itself going around my new alternator..I removed the smog pump so now the belt tensioner needs to go up..It is facing almost straight down..How do you get it to stay up?

all you should have to do is install an 84.5mm belt.............if all you did was delete the smog pump..........the alt will still be in the same postition

Sorry..I was not clear on what was missing....I had already removed the A.C.....and I moved the power steering up tp where the A.C. was.... How sdo you get that belt tension pulley to move and stay up?

is your tentioner still next to the alt? if so, you will need a 70.5mm belt..........not sure what you mean by the tentioner is sticking straight up..........i bought a bracket that moved my tentioner over towards the powersteering pump and it still points down.......if you have the same march bracket, you may want to move it around to where the tentioner points down..........
