Hey, I have a '95 Mustang GT convertible and it's basically stock except for the BBK Cold air fenderwell induction, and Free flowing exhaust, (yes i had the cats cut and 2 flowmasters put on, shame on me). Also i dropped the smog pump... no emissions in FL. A lil down the road when i start upping the top end of my 5.0, I was wondering if anyone knew if this combo would work well, or if they had a better combo.
GT-40X Aluminum heads w/ 1.7 Cobra rockers
Cobra Upper and Lower intake (or explorer, whichever flows better)
And ive heard good things about the E303 cam.. i dont want a too radical cam because it is a daily driver and a weekend rice-rocket smoker.
My plans for the car are to keep it streetable with decent gas mileage but have good power, I know, oxymoron right? I know other stuff must be done first, but this is just a future question. Also, eventually i want to look into a Silent-charger.

TFS heads ported,Cobra intake ported,65mm throttlebody,24lbs injectors,155 fuel pump,f303 cam,1.6 adjusable roller rockers,3.55 gears,26x9x15 MT slicks,5 speed,no power shifts=12.43 at 110mph

Your combo should work just fine. Add The 65mm T/B and 24lbs injectors with a good fuel pump. Stick with the 1:6 rockers with the "E" cam. Go with the Cobra intake or other aftermarket intake. You would have to modify the Explorer intake to work on the Mustang.

With this combo you would have the basic build-up my son has. We get on average 22-24 mpg. with his. It is very streetable and pulls hard to 6500rpm. His has full emissions too! (freakin Calif smog laws)

I gotta ask, everyone else did, what would that combo run?
do the 40X heads run well, or are there ones that blow them out of the water? and with the 1.7 rockers what cam should i do? like i said, i dont want to sit at the light and lobe my teeth out. lol. I absolutley love my stang and wouldnt trade it for all the disposible imports in the world, i just want to use her to her full potential.
