Default Rear Main Seal help

I have a 302 sitting around, which I pulled out of an '82 mustang. It has a rear main that I can see all around the crank.(one peice rubber). So I figure in my '82 Capri it would be pretty much the same. WRONG!! I can't see the seal at all!! It is just the end of the crank sticking out of the block. The block goes all the way, and looks as if it is almost touching the crank. How would I replace this seal?? Thanks guys.

Oh, and this guy I spoke with says it was a special motor and it had all these diff things done to it from the factory.... I don't know, but thanks

Oh Goody!! Just what I wanted... LOL! oh well, I'm losing my license because of an OWI I got in a minivan... not my proudest moment, but it was only first offense. It will also be my last offense. I think I'll just go with the 460 swap! Got plenty of time for it...
