Default MAC exhaust question

I have a MAC exhaust in my 1990 LX. The the last portion of them (tailpipe section) is rusty. The rest of the exhaust is fine, only the last part from the ball connection back, where the pipes were chrome. Does anyone know if it is possible to get replacements? Or will I need to buy a new exhaust system. If I need to, does anyone know if the Pro Dump setup is legal? I don't care to have chrome tips, it looks like the water dripping off the bumper is how they started to rust.

You could get an '86 - '93 GT cat-back, it won't have the chrome. Mine had a problem at the H-pipe connection. I had a muffler shop fix it - he replaced the first few inches of both tail-pipes. It cost $80.00. It's better to just replace it though. You might check out some shops, they could replace the chrome portions of yours with plain old unplated and unpolished piping.

i know i have seen mac chrome tailpipes somewhere, you just have to look for them, i know they sell them seperately. as for the pro dump being legal, i dont know why it wouldnt be legal besides being a pain in the ass to stick the probe in the tailpipe for smog. the only thing they might be able to get you on is possibly a noise violation. if you get a new exhaust, i think the pro dump or just cut off the tailpipes and put dumps on would be the best bet. i cars look ugly when they are supposed to have stainless tips and they have just the regular gt exhaust aluminized pipe

Hi ! I just sold my mustang with a MAC exhaust on it but I kept the 2 chrome tailpipes MAC. I bought this exaust last summer so it`s like new ! The tailpipes comes with the pipe connecting right over the differential. (Excuse my english writing !!! I`m a francophone). The only problem is that I live in Quebec, Canada. And I really don`t know how much it would cost to ship them to your place ! If you are interest, just email me at: accord_mustang@hotmail.com
I`m not a user of allfordmustangs.com so I`m not here often. Thanks !
