Default Blown head gasket

So we took are car to the race track and blew a head gasket my question is I just
Put the heads on the car it only has like 400 miles on them why this soon I used arp bolts and fel pro gaskets I did miss a gear and after that car stated smoking white Through tail pipes and I could hear it braking up when driving to the pit area car was running strong before this it's a Fresh rebuilt 302 block gt40p heads b cam gt40 intake

did you have the heads surfaced? did you go back and re-torque the head bolts?

Did you retorque everything after a heat cycle like the intake and head bolts?

i have never re torqued my heads with any issues but intake yes could be cause ya over reved it with missed shift
i spun number 8 rod bearing 2 summers ago after snapping input shaft on the old aod set up

No I did not re Torque the head bolts would Detonation cause this because I did go a little over 16 degrees on the timing

did you have some detonation issues? it can knock the ring lands off of the pistons. what kind of pistons?

OP I think it might be easier to start from the beginning and say what kinda build, with which items, who put it together, what did you do after assembly and what happened at the track.

Well I did not here any detonation or pinging pistons are stock for a 302 non forge my friend put the engine together it was just hone and put new rings and crank was cut to .10

compression or leak down test. should tell you which cylinder/cylinders. stock pistons for what year?

Pistons are form a 94 mustang i forgot to Mention that the oil cap has Moisture and oil looks milkey and the car over heats

well....that means hyperpathetic pistons. but your newly mentioned symptoms sounds like headgaskets anyway. i would still do a compression test. sorry...

Yea I'm going to start tearing it down I've done some research and can't find the right answer but will a fel pro 1011-2 work with gt40p heads I'm using the stock replacement ones
