How much can a stock mechanical fuel pump handle ?

I built this motor for my truck . Its a 302 with ported e-7 heads . stock flat top pistons w the 4 eyebrow reliefs . Ported stock intake . summit 471 lift cam , and a holley 500 cfm 2 bbl . Will a stock fuel pump work fine or do I need to go aftermarket ? I'd like to stay cheap , so If it will work I wanna use the stock one . Thanks for the help

EFI or mechanical I'd say the stocker is fine.

It's carbed mechanical .

I've had more than a few motors with double pumper Holley carb, cam, headers and other mods and never touched the stock fuel pump.

i have a built 460 with a 850 holley and its fine with a carter high flow mech pump

Ok cool then . I'll just use a stocker . Now is there another car that has a higher flow stock pump than my truck ? I have an 84 f-150 . Maybe like an 84 mustang ? Or do you think they use the same one ? Thanks for the help guys .

i got my carter high flow at napa....it looks stock but i guess its made different inside
