TREMEC TKO 500 & H Pipe Problem

I just put in a Tremec TKO 500 in my car, I am in the process of putting everything back together and I have been struggling to make the H pipe fit back in. I realize that the trans is now sitting back futher, does this mean I need a new H pipe or do I have to cut off the mounting rods and weld them in the right spot in the h pipe (relocate them in a different spot to make it fit) Do they sell a H pipe that is setup for this application? Has anyone had this problem???

How about this, can I just cut the hangers off the H pipe that slide in by the trans and go with out them? Has anyone done this? Does anyone think this is a bad idea?
