Default New Mods. Do i need a retune?

Hey,

I just got some new mods i'm about to put on my foxbody which include:

-70mm throttle body
-80mm MAF (with sensor)
- high flow fuel rails
- 24lb injectors

I have a Bama Performance chip already and i called and asked if they needed to retune from these mods im adding, and the guy told me that all they would do is calibrate the MAF (came with sensor)...

But with larger injectors, wouldnt i need a new tune so it doesn't run rich?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You don't need a tune with 24# injectors as long as the MAF is calibrated to the larger injectors.

What Matt said if the MAF is calibrated for the injectors then it will regulate the fuel in accordance to the injector size. No need for a tune or updated tune. How does the car run without the chip if I may ask?

it runs ok.. definately not as much power. it has 4 tune settings according to fuel octane. i gotta say 93 and "race" mode is fun!:laughlitt

wish i had the money for better heads and a stroker kit though. that will be my next move.. hopefully..

As mentioned above, the Bama Team will recalibrate your MAF sensor for the larger 80mm diameter and the 24lb injectors. You should definitely send the chip back to the Bama Team for the new calibrations. Without them, your Mustang won't run nearly as smoothly!
