I know this shouldent be difficult but are your adj screws facing up.if I do it like the instruction say the screws are facing down. Its harder but they can be adj facing down.It seems either way my idle is still at 1000 rpm's.I did like the inst say & that puts the throttle plate screw holding the plate open slightly.Should I turn it out more?
Well I got it figured out.Ive got the screws pointing up.I was able to get my idle at about 850 rpm's.Believe it or not my idle has smoothed out a lot.Thanks.
I just took it out for a ride & 99% of the noise is gone.It took care of all the noise @ idle & just about all the noise when getting on the gas.I know you said it shouldent matter when getting on it because the air doesent go thru the iac ports but the incoming air has to go by these ports.Maybe the noise is the air "catching" on the ports as its going by.Sure glad you mentioned that spacer.thanks again
I am another BBK 70MM whiner. I smoothed it out quite a bit before install, because I saw this thread before I bought it. I guess im gonna pull off the IAC and get after it a little more, do you remember what dremel you actually used, like what it was called? This baby sounds like a train fixin to come through the hood! Also anyone know what the base idle is on a 90 with a T-5, I set it around 700 with IAC disco'd.
I istalled a 70 ml throttle body and now my cable goes further then the ball on the tb how can I adjust, and my egr spacer is getting very hot? not warm
it depends it your going to get a different intake later, if so get the bigger one, if not you probaby dont even really need one but can get the smaller one.

alright i have done everything that is suggested in this thread and i still have a whistle coming from the throttle body i think, is it possible it could be something else. i mash the pedal and its fine then i shift into 2nd and its chirping like bird and no its not my tires. i have a el cheapo tb 70mm and bbk cai with 70mm cobra mass air. i begining to think its the mass air or the cai. i dont know im stumped.
Same here, i heard it only 1600-1800 rmp. I played with the tps sensor and set it @ .95 then took it for a rip, the sound from the tb was 99% gone. Worked for me i hope it works for you!
