Default Throttle Body - PCV Tube Broke

I have a 65mm Accufab throttle body. The tube on top of the throttle body in which a vacuum hose connects to has broke off. This tube has always been plugged up since the installation of my supercharger, however.

With the tube broken off from the top, i essentially have a hole on top of my throttle body. To keep my Mustang driveable, i've adjusted the TPS and the idle.

Since then, I never had the idle so good. My mustang idle is rock solid and the pinging that i hear under load on 5th gear is gone!

Why is this?

Thinking that the hole on top of the throttle body is a major vacuum leak, i plugged up the hole. While the idle remains solid, the pinging under load on 5th gear and all strange noises has returned.

What should i do now? Unplug the hole on top of the throttle body? Or should i leave it plugged and deal with the issues?

I have one that I pulled out from a BBK throttle body that I could send to you. Let me know.

I plugged the hole. I'm kinda sad that i did because i'm basically back to square one.

I'm again experiencing pinging in 5th gear under WOT.

Would the timing chain going bad be a possible cause?
