Need help ID'ing a 302 block for a 66 mustang restomod

I am restoring a 66 mustang and my plan is to put a modern 302 motor with a carb. Since the car is a father son project we are trying to do this on a budget so my neighbor gave me a 302 block that his dad had laying around and I have no clue how to tell what year it is. Attached are all the markings I can find for it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Decoding Ford casting part numbers

Here you go. The first pic where are those numbers/letters at? You should be looking on the block where the starter should be if I'm not mistaking. That will be for the block. So the first pic says "1987 Truck" from what I can tell. I may not be 100% on this but the link should get you a good start.

Life is to short to live it pissed off cherish who and what you got while you can!

The last photo posted...see that rectangular-shaped flat pad above and behind the lifter valley? There is a VIN stamped there. That will tell you the model year, assembly plant, and serial number of the vehicle that the engine was originally from.

This is the number that's there but when I look at previous posts and how to decode this number nothing looks like that number.

GF3223__

G = 1986 model year
F = Dearborn Assembly
3223__ = 222,3___ Ford scheduled for production at Dearborn Assembly

In other words....the block is from a 1986 Mustang.
