Default Mass air flow sensor replacement??

I have a set of 24lb injectors in my car with other mods. I have a Pro-M mass air that is calibrated for 24lb injectors. I am having some trouble with my sensor for whatever reason. The car wants throw out the check engine light and it starts running rich. At least I think it is because you can smell the gas in the exhaust. If you let it run long enough you can actually see smoke coming off the cats. I run codes and I cant remember the exact code but it basically says that the Mass air is running below minimum voltage. I took the sensor out to try and clean it but it doesnt seem to be dirty. Any suggestions?

make sure no air is escaping.. if its not getting all the air from the MAF to the throttle body it will do as you mentioned.

There arent any holes or leaks anywhere. That was one of the first things that I checked. I also went and threw on my stock mass air unit and it doesnt get the cats all hot, doesnt give off a gas oder in the exhaust, doesnt throw out a check engine light. But the original isnt calibrated for 24lb. I am also dealing with a nasty idle problem that I have also left a thread in here for.

A tuner to adjust the fuel injectors? What I did was I bought the mass air flow already calibrated for 24lb injectors. As far as tuning the injectors, I didnt know you could.

i mean using an EEC tuner to change your settings for calibration.. ive heard of someone doing that then changing the MAF as well.
